USA Construction was initially formed for several main functions:

To have a construction company that was veteran owned and operated.  The company gives veteran preference in employment.

All the products that the company carries are “made in the USA”.  This makes sure that we carry superior products that also help employ American workers.

All the products that we carry are energy star rated products.  We all know that there are not unlimited amounts of non-renewable sources of fossil fuels.  With that in mind we have chosen insulation products that are state of the art and have superior energy saving capabilities.

Our main insulation product is Airkrete. 

This is  hands down the best in wall insulation on the market.  It offers many side benefits other than it’s tremendous energy saving capability.  It also:

            Is fireproof

            Is highly mold resistant

            Contains zero oil product

            Does not off gas

            Goes in fully expanded so it does not subsequently shrink in size nor does it settle at all

            Has properties that makes it almost impossible for bugs or rodents to live in it

            Is sound deadening

           

Every other product on the market that is foam based can meet none, or almost none, of these qualities.  Most of them are highly toxic, off gas for years and will burn with a smoke that can kill you.

Products that use an expansion agent typically shrink over time.  This will result in at least 15% of the house being left without any insulation.  Airkrete is guaranteed against shrinking!  In over 18 years there has not been one claim for Airkrete shrinking.  This is a major benefit.

Home Energy Audit

What Is A Home Energy Audit?

The home energy audit is performed to determine how a building structure is wasting energy. Accurate testing of a business or home residence is done with a thorough examination. A thermographic scan and blower door test uncovers areas where energy is wasted. USA Construction uses high quality thermographic scanners to determine where you are loosing heat and cool air, and where you need put your energy saving dollars.

Thermographic Inspection

The testing uses infrared video and images to measure surface temperatures. The camera records temperature variations that range from white for warm and black for cold. This information helps the auditor determine whether additional insulation is required for the structure. Interior thermographic scans are very accurate in determining where heat loss is occurring. The test is usually done during the blower door testing for the most accurate results. 

Thermographic inspection can be completed through several types of infrared sensing devices. A thermal line scanner detects radiant temperature along a line with any variations. A point radiometer measures temperature readings wherever the auditor pans the area. A thermal imaging camera produces dimensional images that show heat loss with the most accuracy.

Blower Door Testing

This test is used to determine the tightness of the building. A high performance fan is mounted into an exterior framework to pull air out of the building. This lowers the air pressure inside. All unsealed openings inside can be located from the vacuum produced by the blower fan. The blower door-testing unit consists of the high-speed fan built into a flexible panel that will completely seal the exterior framework. A gauge measures pressure variations on the interior and exterior of the building. Manometer and hoses are used to measure airflow. The data collected by the auditor can then be used to make accurate determinations of any leaks inside.
